Arcadis DPS Engineering are seeking a Mechanical Facilities Technician for a Pharmaceutical assignment located in Ringaskiddy, Cork. This is initially a 12-month contract but joining a growing team, view to probable extension for right person.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for supporting the mechanical infrastructure of the site, to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations of utilities, facilities, and equipment.
* Maintain and support mechanical systems including water systems chilled water, condensate, towns water, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, steam distribution, low-pressure hot water and door management.
* Support WWTP operations by maintaining mechanical assets such as pumps, mixers, pipework, and related systems.
* Conduct routine inspections, preventatives, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical systems.
* Support mechanical system upgrades, modifications, and project activities.
* Oversee the maintenance of drainage systems, sprinkler systems, and safety-related equipment.
* Collaborate with teams to support infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with GMP and safety standards.
* Maintain documentation and records of maintenance activities, system performance, and compliance.
* Ensure all activities uphold environmental and safety regulations, including GMP, EHS, and local standards.
* Perform all other activities as required to uphold operational efficiency and safety.
Requirements
* Trade qualification or Mechanical Engineering degree.
* Minimum of 10 years' experience in facilities/utilities management within GMP or regulated environments.
* Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems including chillers, boilers, process piping, and utilities distribution.
* Strong troubleshooting abilities for mechanical equipment.
* Good communication and team collaboration skills.
