Purpose of the RoleWe are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to lead our kitchen operations.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and preparing meals, managing kitchen staff, maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety, and ensuring that dietary needs are met with creativity and care.Principal Duties & ResponsibilitiesOversee daily kitchen operations, including meal planning, preparation, and service.Design menus that are nutritious, varied, and tailored to the dietary needs of service users.Manage food inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling costs.Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.Train, supervise, and support kitchen staff and volunteers.Collaborate with care staff to understand individual dietary requirements.Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming kitchen environment.Qualifications & ExperienceProven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a similar setting.Culinary qualification or equivalent professional experience.Strong understanding of nutrition, dietary restrictions, and allergen management.Excellent leadership and communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a person-centred environment.Knowledge of HACCP and other food safety standards.Desirable AttributesCompassionate and respectful approach to working with individuals with disabilities.Creative flair in menu design and presentation.Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in food service.Full-time Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm.
