Farringtons Mill & Brewery is family run and based on a 30 acre organic farm. We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and ambitious head chef to join our team. At Farringtons you will get the chance to work with some of the freshest ingredients grown on the organic farm and sample the beer we have brewed here.
The position entails working alongside the other chefs which includes preparation and service of food to a high level while maintaining a high standard of health and safety. The position is for a 4 day week Thursday preparation, Friday lunch and dinner, Saturday lunch and dinner and Sunday lunch.
The suitable candidate must be reliable, have a good, kind work ethic and be an absolute team player with a passion for fresh produce and freshly prepared food.
The candidate must be able to:
* Show interest in creating exciting recipes and gather all necessary ingredients
* Cook food in a timely manner at quiet or busy service
* Deliver exciting specials and inform waiting staff about them
* Assist Head Chef and be able to create very appealing dish presentation
* Be able to modify recipes to meet customers' needs and requests (e.g. Coeliac, reduce salt, remove dairy, vegan etc.)
* Monitor food stock, making sure all food is fresh, and help to place orders
* Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
Requirements and skills
* Previous employment as a Sous Chef
* Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques, both old and new
* Team skills
* Ability to remain calm under pressure
* Excellent time management abilities
* Familiarity with sanitation regulations

Pay: €34,222.55-€51,753.25 per year
