Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities Lead the Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance teams to ensure high process efficiency in a modern, well-invested facility.
Ensure maintenance operations adhere to health, safety, quality, and hygiene standards, fostering a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
Plan and develop TPM systems to maximize line/process efficiency, including energy, refrigeration, plant services, utilities, and WWTP.
Develop best practices in process engineering and maintenance, incorporating new technologies and standards.
Enhance team capabilities through performance reviews, training, and coaching, aligning with industry standards.
Manage maintenance and engineering costs within KPI budgets, including energy and project expenditures.
Implement Lean Maintenance systems using appropriate tools and techniques for continuous improvement.
Coordinate with external contractors and installation companies to complete maintenance and projects to required standards.
Participate in strategic and operational decisions as a key member of the Site Management Team, engaging with customers, regulators, and capital projects.

Job Summary The Maintenance and Engineering Manager reports to the Site Operations Manager and is responsible for managing maintenance and engineering activities to maximize equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
The role involves managing internal teams and external contractors, overseeing repairs, installations, and compliance with maintenance procedures.
Responsibilities Ensure equipment performance meets or exceeds KPIs.
Develop technician training and skills enhancement programs.
Execute and plan preventive maintenance to ensure regulatory compliance.
Review and improve maintenance systems through continuous improvement projects.
Ensure all maintenance work complies with health, safety, and quality standards.
Drive Preventive & Predictive Maintenance initiatives.
Manage the maintenance department budget and resources.
Oversee maintenance procedures for production lines in a GMP environment.
Support plant optimization across all production utilities and processes.
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and test new or improved processes.
Utilize data insights to improve plant performance and KPIs.
Troubleshoot issues and identify performance improvement opportunities.
Manage utilities and other site services.
Requirements/Profile Trade qualification (electrician or fitter) or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Hands-on knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment, including refrigeration and conveyers.
Experience managing maintenance teams, preferably in food manufacturing or pharmaceuticals.
Experience with preventive maintenance systems.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and adaptability.
Proven experience in maintenance and project management.
Organizational and planning skills, with knowledge of lean and process improvement methodologies.
Ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
