Job Title: Occupational Health Nurse
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled occupational health nurse to join our team in Waterford. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to employees, promoting a healthy work environment and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of this role include:
* Providing clinical services such as vaccinations, phlebotomy and health screening
* Conducting pre-employment medicals and fit-for-work assessments
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records
* Developing and implementing health promotion initiatives
* Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
Required Qualifications and Experience:
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:
* A registration in the general division of the live Register of Nurses maintained by Nursing & Midwifery Board Ireland
* A basic life support certification for health care providers within the last two years from the Irish Heart Foundation
* An initial national anaphylaxis education programme for health care professionals
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Good IT skills and administrative knowledge
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position, working four 8-hour shifts and one shift per week. The hours/shifts are subject to negotiation with the local service manager.
The ideal candidate will have excellent time management skills, be able to work effectively in a team and have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
