Overview
Our Software engineers are employed in building, maintaining and supporting transaction processing services that are fundamental to our success and competitiveness in the current trading environment. This includes trade capture and enrichment, corporate actions, stock borrow loans, and reconciliations.
The Dublin technology environment is a rich mix of proprietary software focused on delivering highly available, connected services for managing back office trading. These systems are used throughout the company by both trading and back office teams.
Job Summary
You will be involved in the analysis, design, and development of complex and business-critical software applications in a back/middle office trading environment bringing strong software engineering skills to the role, along with an interest in applying the latest technology to the development of financial operations systems.
Responsibilities
* Analysis, design, and development of complex and business-critical software applications;
* Taking projects through the entire cycle from requirements gathering to production release;
* Constantly maintaining and tuning existing applications to meet evolving performance criteria as business changes;
What we're looking for
You may not tick all these boxes, but the ideal candidate would have:
* Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
* Experience of complex server-side software development in C# (open to Java or C++)
* Experience leading or contributing to the architecture of a complex business system
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with business analysts, operations personnel, and other software developers
* Distributed Systems: Experience in areas such as Kafka or building web APIs
* Databases: Experience with RDBMS particularly Oracle
* Experience developing systems in the financial industry
