Overview The Process Engineer will play a key role in improving printing operations by optimizing equipment performance, standardizing processes, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
This role partners closely with press operators, maintenance teams, and technical staff to reduce downtime, increase throughput, and ensure consistent product quality.
Key Responsibilities Analyze printing and press processes to identify inefficiencies and implement data-driven improvements.
Develop and maintain centerlining standards (optimal machine operating parameters) for press equipment.
Partner with operators, maintenance, and technical teams to troubleshoot issues and refine machine settings.
Lead reliability and uptime improvement projects across printing systems.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and validate improvements using structured data analysis.
Support Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement initiatives.
Document best practices and create or update standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Provide training and guidance to operators on optimized processes and equipment settings.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing or production environment, ideally within printing or converting.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process optimization skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with operators and technical staff.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with flexographic or digital printing technology.
Knowledge of plate-making, pre-press, or finishing processes.
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other structured improvement methodologies.
Experience with root cause analysis, reliability improvement, or equipment centerlining.

These factors can cause your compensation to vary.
The estimated starting compensation range is $40,887- $115,000.
The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower.
The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.
Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
