As a fund accountant, you will be responsible for assisting in the production of daily, weekly and monthly NAVs. This involves issuing accurate and timely NAVs to meet defined timeframes.
You will deliver high-quality service to customers by completing assigned tasks accurately and on time. This may involve working as part of larger processes or procedures and checking for errors.
Key responsibilities include owning valuation processes for assigned portfolios, escalating fund accounting issues and aged items to the Fund Accounting Team Lead, and performing tasks under supervision of defined processes or procedures.
You will also collect, enter and extract data, undertake analysis as directed, and assist in the preparation of client reports, such as taxation and equalisation reports.
Achieving this role requires strong problem-solving skills, good attention to detail, and excellent prioritization and multi-tasking skills. You should be able to organise your workload effectively and establish priorities.
Knowledge of standards and procedures required for own tasks is essential, along with excellent PC skills, particularly in MS Excel.
A third-level qualification or pursuing a professional accounting qualification is an advantage but not required.
