CREGG are seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to join a global leader and thriving medical device company based in Co. Cork. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced engineer to take a hands-on leadership role within our manufacturing operations. You'll lead a team of 3 technicians and play a key part in driving production efficiency, supporting automation initiatives, and maintaining high standards in equipment performance.

Shift – Swing Shift – 4 days on 3 off – 3 on 4 off –12hr – 6pm – 6am
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and mentor a team of 3 manufacturing technicians.
* Support and oversee daily operations across manufacturing and automated production lines.
* Conduct and manage equipment process validations to ensure compliance and efficiency.
* Lead troubleshooting efforts for production equipment and drive effective problem-solving initiatives.
* Plan and execute maintenance strategies to maximise equipment uptime and reliability.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, R&D, and Operations teams reporting any issues to senior management.
* Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
Qualifications & Experience:
* Level 8 Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
* Experience leading or mentoring a small manufacturing team – leadership skills.
* Knowledge of equipment process validation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
* Excellent problem solving ability and strong communication skills.
* Experience in a GMP regulated industry, ideally medical devices or pharmaceuticals.
