Senior Quantity Surveyor (Dublin) A Senior Quantity Surveyor is required by a leading civil and utilities contractor to support major utilities and civils infrastructure projects across the Greater Dublin Area.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial professional to join a well-established team delivering essential upgrades to Irelands water, gas, and telecoms networks.
The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in managing project costs, contracts, procurement, and commercial reporting while working closely with project, engineering, and site teams.
This role is ideal for an experienced QS seeking long-term career development on high-volume utilities and civils frameworks.
Duties: Lead the commercial management of multiple utilities and civils projects across the Dublin region.
Prepare and manage project budgets, cost reports, and cashflow forecasts.
Oversee subcontractor procurement, tendering, and contract administration.
Assess, prepare, and negotiate variations, change orders, and claims.
Prepare monthly valuations, applications for payment, and commercial submissions.
Manage final accounts and ensure compliance with contract obligations and internal procedures.
Maintain accurate commercial documentation, including correspondence, variations, and procurement records.
Provide commercial support to project managers, engineers, and site teams.
Support commercial audits, quality assurance checks, and risk management activities.
Mentor and guide junior members of the commercial team.
Requirements: Minimum 7+ years experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor.
Strong background in utilities or civils projects (water, gas, telecoms, ducting, reinstatement, etc.).
Proven experience managing project budgets, cost control, and commercial deliverables.
Strong understanding of Public Works Contracts and/or NEC forms of contract.
Excellent organisational, communication, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and commercial/project management systems.
Ability to work independently across multiple active project sites.
Full driving licence.
Salary & Benefits: €80,000 €90,000, depending on experience.
