Assistant Restaurant Manager - GFP within Arnotts Gourmet Food Parlour (GFP) is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our restaurant outlets within Arnotts Department Store .
This role involves assisting in the leadership of four well-established dining concepts located within the store - Homemade, Kitchen Italian, Henry's and The Corner Cafe - ensuring smooth operations, strong team support, and consistently high standards of food and service.
You will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to lead a team of approximately 35 staff members, including supervisors and front-of-house teams, helping to maintain an efficient, welcoming, and well-organised environment for guests.
This is a hands-on role that suits someone who enjoys being present on the floor, supporting the team, and ensuring everything runs smoothly during busy service periods.
Operating within Arnotts also brings a unique element to the role.
Alongside the restaurant operations, you will assist in coordinating hospitality for in-store events and brand concessions, supporting activations, launches, and events hosted by well-known brands within the department store.
This role requires strong collaboration with multiple key stakeholders.
You will support the Head Chef and kitchen teams in maintaining clear communication between front and back of house, and work alongside the onsite Quality Control Manager to ensure food quality and operational standards are consistently maintained.
You will also build strong working relationships with the Arnotts marketing team, HR department, and senior management to ensure the restaurants operate in line with the wider store environment and contribute positively to the customer experience within Arnotts.
While GFP's head office is not located onsite, the Assistant Restaurant Manager will receive guidance and support from the senior leadership team regarding operational performance, business development, and standards.

Key Responsibilities Operations Support Assist in overseeing the daily operations of Homemade, Kitchen Italian, Henrys' and The Corner Cafe, ensuring smooth service and high standards.
Team Support Leadership Support the Restaurant Manager in supervising a team of approximately 35 staff members, including scheduling, training, coaching, and team development.

Customer Experience Ensure guests receive friendly, efficient, and professional service across all outlets.
Food Quality Standards Support the Head Chef and kitchen teams to maintain high food quality, presentation, and consistency.
Quality Control Compliance Assist the onsite Quality Control Manager in maintaining full compliance with HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards.
Financial Operational Performance Monitor and report on sales, labour costs, and operational performance to the Restaurant Manager and senior leadership.
Events Concessions Support Assist in coordinating hospitality and service for in-store events, brand activations, and concessions within Arnotts.
Collaboration with Store Teams Maintain strong working relationships with Arnotts marketing, HR, and senior management to ensure smooth coordination between the restaurants and wider store operations.
