Business Development Position
About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to spearhead our growth initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining in-depth knowledge of market opportunities, challenges, and trends within the engineering and construction sector.
Main Responsibilities:
* Pursue new business opportunities through networking, targeted advertising, trade show attendance, and other strategic means to generate interest from potential clients.
* Nurture relationships with key decision-makers, gate-keepers, and influencers associated with identified project opportunities.
* Maintain and expand existing customer base.
* Lead pre-sales pipeline prospect generation aligned with sales guiding principles.
* Communicate reliable information gathered through meetings, calls, or other related activities regarding project details, customer requirements, competitor analysis, and award strategies.
Necessary Requirements:
* Hold a 3rd-level qualification in Construction, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying (desirable).
* Possess at least 7 years' relevant experience serving the construction sector, preferably with 4 years or more in a Sales and Marketing role within Mechanical Engineering (Piping, HVAC ductwork sector).
* Demonstrate a strong track record of successfully working with end-user clients.
