Ohshima Ireland LTD is currently seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our growing team based in our facility in Shannon, Co. Clare.

Role And Responsibilities
* To lead a multi-function team in planning and executing a Production Schedule through the site
* Manage Human and Material resources to meet the production targets
* Give estimated production dates of parts to Quality to aid scheduling
* Liaise with Engineering and Purchasing on Engineering Change Notices to advise on revision changes on parts ordered
* Review and adjust schedule as required keeping relevant departments informed
* Prioritise and expedite urgent parts outside of the normal lead times
* To ensure traceability of parts is maintained throughout the entire process
* Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are being followed
* Monitor Health and Safety adherence, recommending and implementing improvements when agreed
* Capture relevant capacity data across customer product range to develop the planning process
* Conduct scheduled meetings with Supervisor team to review performance, issues and targets
* Prepare, maintain and communicate production performance reports to management on a weekly basis
* As part of the role there may be a requirement to travel nationally and internationally
* Work to an Organisational Structure in the delegation of tasks
* Participate in development of the organisational structure to meet the site demands
* Performance manage, develop and motivate staff within the team
* Drive consistent systems and thinking within the organisation to develop and grow the culture
* Continuously improve flow of product through the site ideally using Lean Manufacturing methods
Education And Experience
* Degree in relevant field i.e. Engineering, Science, Manufacturing
* Proven experience in a similar role for 5 years or more
* Knowledge and experience working in ISO certified environment (aviation industry experience an advantage, but not essential)
* Understanding of and experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing techniques
* Experience working with ERP/MRP systems
* Excellent Project Management Skills
