Project Worker, Coffee Shop, DublinLocation: DublinContract: Multiple Full Time, 2 year Fixed Term Contracts availableThe purpose of this role is to work as part of a team in providing professional services, access to food, respite and access to advice and information to single people who are out of home or at risk of homelessness. The service provides a safe environment which facilitates social inclusion and enables customers to become more involved in services.Benefits: 25 days Annual Leave & 3 Concession Days, 7% Employer Pension Contribution, Maternity Top Up 26 Weeks, Tax-Saver Scheme, Education Assistance Policy, Paid Sick Leave policy, Supports: Employee Assistance Program, Reflective Practice, Supervision, Well being initiatives, weekly team meetings, Housing First training, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training What you will do: Work within the objectives, policies, and procedures of Focus Ireland and the Coffee Shop.Follow the Focus Ireland model and standards of best practice in all duties.Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Welfare guidelines, reporting any concerns promptly.Operate within a flexible 7-day rota and take on assigned roles in the Coffee Shop daily.Provide a safe, welcoming environment, managing incidents and harmful behaviours in line with TCI and violence policies.Interact with customers, observe behaviour, respond to emergencies, and report incidents accurately.Assist with daily cleaning and maintain up-to-date contact records, logs, and incident reports.Mentor new staff and role model best practices while contributing to monthly reports as required.Liaise with internal teams and external agencies, attending meetings, training, and supervision sessions regularly.Continuously develop the role with the Line Manager and undertake additional duties as assigned.What you will need:Relevant third level degree in the area of social care i.e. youth work, social studies, addiction, psychologyAt least 2 years' experience in the social care field working with disadvantaged persons.Experience of supporting marginalised persons with high risk and challenging behaviour.A working knowledge of issues affecting people out-of-home and their impact on people and their physical, emotional and psychological development/status.Relevant experience of working in a team which shares a common goalA working knowledge of services in the homeless sector.(Desirable)An awareness of child protection issues and ways of responding appropriately to any concerns.(Desirable)Focus Ireland is an equal opportunities employer#FI1
