Job Title: Health Care Assistant On Call Reports To: Health Care Supervisor / Branch Manager Location: Navan, Dunshaughlin, Ratoath, Ashburne Job Type: Full-Time Inis Care was established with the core principle that contented caregivers lead to satisfied customers.

Job Summary: The Rapid Responder HCA plays a vital role in providing high-quality, person-centred care toindividuals in their homes.

This role involvesresponding promptly to urgent care needs, offering support to regular care assistants, and ensuring continuity of care.

Responsibilities: Emergency Response: Respond promptly to urgentcalls and provideimmediate care and support to customers.

Assess client needs quicklyand efficiently to deliver appropriate care interventions.

Communicate effectively with the care management team to reporton the situation and actions taken.

To adhere to existingworking practices, methods,procedures, and any other specificapproaches as layoutwithin the care plan so as not to cause any confusion for the customerin providing short-notice care.

Personal Care: Assist customers with daily living activities such as bathing,dressing, grooming, and toileting.

Support customers with mobility,ensuring safe transfers and use of equipment where necessary.

Prompt medication as prescribed, following company policiesand procedures.

Ensure each task performedwith the Customer(personal care, meal preparation, etc) is completed with dignity and respect for the Customer.

Emotional and Social Support: Provide companionship and emotional support to customers, encouraging social interaction and participation in activities.

Assist with meal preparation and household tasks to ensurea safe and comfortable living environment.

Coordination and Communication: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, family members, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.

Maintain clear and timelycommunication with the care management team regarding any concerns or updates on client care.

Works together with the Branch managerand Care Coordinator teams.

Qualifications: QQI Level 5 Healthcare Award or equivalent- Essential Full clean driver's license– Essential Additional Training Requirements: Children's First – HSE LANDSafeguarding – HSE LANDDementia Training – HSE LANDGDPR Training – HSE LANDAMRIC Basics of Infection Prevention and Control-HSE LANDAMRIC Hand Hygiene – HSE LANDPutting on and takingoff PPE in Community Healthcare- HSE LANDSkills: Basic patient care: bathing,dressing, feeding Assisting with mobility and exercise Effective verbaland written communication & Active listening Following instructions and protocols Providing companionship and emotional support Familiarity with healthcare equipmentand devices Time management and task prioritization Competencies: Empathy and compassion Understanding and responding to emotional needs Effective teamwork within a healthcareteam Supporting colleagues and positive team environment Adaptability to changing needsand environments Willingness to learn new skills and procedures Attention to detail in observing and reporting Physical stamina for demandingtasks Reliability, punctuality and Professional appearance and demeanour Ethical standards and confidentiality adherence Problem-solving and critical thinking Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare settingis essential Benefits: Competitive annual salary 33k up to 37k depending on experience Mileage paid at €0.44 per km or use of a company vehicle Refer-a-Friend Program– €150.00 per referral Welcome Bonus €200.00 Career Progression Plan and guidance Ongoing training and professional development opportunities including QQI Level 6 courses & CPR Training Supportive work environment with a focus on employeewell-being Opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of customers Hours of work:4 or 3 days per week12-hour shifts, 84 hours Fortnightly Every second weekend You must be available 8 am-9 pm.
