Job Description
Donegal County Childcare Committee Ltd is seeking to recruit for the following temporary positions: one Childcare Development Officer and one Support/Communications Development Officer.
The Childcare Development Officer role is part of a team responsible for local support to Early Learning and Care services, School Aged Childcare services, Childminders and Parents.
Responsibilities for the Childcare Development Officer include:
Support the implementation of the Government’s National Early Learning and Care Schemes.
Provide ongoing support to new and existing Early Learning and Care and School Aged Childcare Providers in relation to compliance, HR, governance, sustainability and practice supports.
Responsibilities for the Support/Communications Development Officer include:
Provide communication support to the CCC team.
Essential Criteria
Knowledge of the various Government early learning and care funding schemes and the supports available.
Knowledge of Túsla Regulations and all quality guidelines and standards.
Experience in financial planning and management.
Experience in developing and delivery training.
An understanding of the Irish early childhood sector, including current policy developments, national practice frameworks, funding structures and mechanisms for support.
At least 3 years’ experience in a related role.
Minimum level 8 on the national framework of qualifications in a relatable discipline.
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of inclusive early childhood education and care.
Excellent report writing and information gathering skills.
Experience of using IT packages such as Microsoft Office and Outlook.
