Our Recycling Business Unit currently has a need for an RCV Operative on a Permanent basis. The roles will be based in Bord na Mona Recycling Navan and will report to the Depot Manager. The successful candidates will be responsible for the collection of wheelie bin waste from BNM Navan customers and loading it onto RCV trucks. Applicants must be available to start early in the morning to comply with customer site access restrictions.
The Role:
The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include:
* Operative will empty wheelie bins as required by each "run". Ensure contaminated or blacklisted bins are not collected. Ensure bins are left in their original position.
* Increase service quality and market share in the serviced areas.
* Aid driver in completing commercial wheelie bin collections and assist relief drivers in route understanding and reversing.
* Complete relevant paperwork and clocking in/out daily. Be punctual for route start times.
* Show courtesy to customers, the public, and colleagues. Report any difficulties to the line manager.
* Co-operate fully with all health and safety and welfare provisions.
* Assist with training new staff as needed.

The Person:
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Transport/Waste Industry
* Manual Handling & Safe Pass qualification is advantageous
* Good written and verbal English skills are essential
* Flexibility to work across different sections of the business
* Eligibility to work in Ireland
