Position Title: Support Worker
This role is a developmental opportunity designed to support the career progression of individuals working within the Deaf community. Accredited training will be provided throughout the period of employment.
Duties
Support the day‑to‑day needs of members of the Deaf community, ensuring effective communication and excellent service delivery. The Support Worker will act as a liaison between residents and external service providers, maintaining confidentiality and a respectful environment at all times.
Requirements
* Irish Sign Language (ISL) is essential; the participant will be working where ISL is the first language of the community.
* Eligibility to participate on CE is linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.
* Strong character references and a completed Garda vetting application form are required.
