Job DescriptionLocation:McWilliam Park Hotel, Kilcolman RoadJoin our fabulous team at McWilliam Park Hotel asFood & Beverage SupervisorThis represents an ideal opportunity for an innovative, passionate and standards-driven Food & Beverage Supervisor, eager to progress his/her career.The RoleThe Food and Beverage Supervisor's key purpose is to ensure that all guests of the hotel receive service of the highest standard. The F&B Supervisor also plays a key part in ensuring that the outlet to which they are assigned is at all times safe, hygienic, efficient yet welcoming, and operating within budget. The food and beverage team supports and works in partnership with all other departments, ensuring all standards and guest expectations are consistently met or exceeded.About McWilliam ParkThe McWilliam Park Hotel is a Failte Ireland approved luxurious four-star hotel. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, making it a popular hotel for celebrating special occasions like weddings or to enjoy a romantic break or family getaway.The hotel boasts 103 comfortable large sized hotel bedrooms, a leisure club (Evolve Health & Fitness) with a fully equipped gym, an indoor heated swimming pool and children's pool.ResponsibilitiesTo review any reservations for the day and ensure any special requests are noted, and all reservations have been allocated appropriate seating.To liaise with head chef on duty and ensure you're aware of any specials or items to note on the menu on the day.To delegate sections and duties, side work and cleaning duties and deliver on the job training to team members on your shift each day.To count floats at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring they balance and all transactions are accounted for.To report and explain in real any anomalies in the float, cross charges, voids, or any other unusual activity in relation to payments or tills.To conduct beginning of shift briefing, wherein you ensure all team members are aware of their sections and duties, the running order of the day, including the bookings and business of the day, as well as any menu items or specials, and any other relevant information.To assist and oversee the setting up of all dining areas, ensuring all is set within agreed time frames and deadlines.To Welcome guests to the bar or restaurant and allocate them to appropriate table.To be visible on the floor, engaging with guests, accurately taking orders and requests and communicate these to relevant colleagues in the F&B outlets and Kitchen.To serve Food & Beverages to our customers within our dining rooms, bar and restaurant, outdoor dining, function rooms and lobby areas as well as occasional room service.To ensure all room service trays and glassware are collected from corridors.To ensure that your work areas are kept clean at all times.To follow all hygiene regulations.To use every opportunity to maximise guest revenue by upselling and needs based selling.To be the first point of contact should any customer care issues arise, and to resolve these issues if possible, and to escalate appropriately and immediately if unable to resolve yourself.To communicate all customer care issues to management, as soon as possible, regardless of current status of issue.
