Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager to drive new business across the West of Ireland. This remote field sales position covers the West of Ireland, with occasional travel to our Ireland HQ in Dublin.
Responsibilities
* Drive and generate new business by selling cargo-partner Air, Sea, Road, and Warehousing product portfolio.
* Develop and nurture strong relationships with existing customers to maximize satisfaction and grow existing business.
* Spearhead tender bids and lead price negotiation with customers, preparing proposals and quotations.
* Build long‑term relationships with clients and develop a robust partnership.
* Perform regular updates via the Customer Relations Management system.
* Represent the company before third parties and perform cost‑benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers.
* Enhance teamwork with other departments.
Qualifications
* Experienced hunter with proven record in field sales within freight forwarding/logistics.
* True commercial thinker, tenacious attitude and drive to succeed.
* Outstanding communication, persuasive and influencing skills.
* Professional who can win business on service, not price.
* Ability to develop winning proposal and costing schedule to beat competitors.
* Entrepreneurial edge to enhance the sales process and adapt to win new business.
* Experience in freight forwarding/logistics industry and proven accomplishment in field sales.
