Job Details:

Are you a visionary leader passionate about making a real impact in people's lives? St. Aidan's Services is looking for two exceptional Day Service Operations Managers to drive our mission forward-empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities to live meaningful lives of their choosing, as valued members of their communities. As Day Service Operations Manager, you will lead our dedicated team, champion our values, and shape the strategic direction of our Day Service. Your dynamic leadership will ensure the highest standards of care, compliance, and service innovation while strengthening relationships with key stakeholders and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

Leadership, Governance & Management:

* Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction in the day-to-day operations of our day services. Collaborate closely with the Director of Services to translate organisational goals into actionable plans.
* Support Day Service managers to ensure timely, accurate implementation and reporting of quality standards in line with the New Directions standards, The Person Centred Framework and SAS PCP Policy.
* Lead and manage day services from an operational perspective working with the Director of Services; supporting the strategic development of day services.
* Ensure services are delivered in an effective person-centred manner, meeting the needs of the people supported; ensures that the Philosophy, Ethos and Core Values of St Aidan's Services is put into practice, encouraged and sustained.
* To promote the vision of the organisation and its goals and objectives in line with Strategies laid out by the organisation.
* Be responsible for the effective governance, operational management and administration of the day services

Quality Assurance & Service Enhancement:

* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of day services. Implement robust systems for monitoring, evaluation, and service review
* Develop comprehensive reports of Director of Services, with analysis of relevant data based on Audit findings.

Stakeholder Engagement:

* Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including individuals supported, their families, representatives, external agencies, and regulatory bodies. Represent the organisation on external committees and working groups.

Resource Management:

* Ensure the effective allocation of utilisation of resources, including staff, budgetary allocations, and facilities management. Strive to achieve optimal outcomes within allocated resources.
* Ensure that services are delivered in a cost-effective manner, within the resources available to the organisation; ensures that units/leads operate within allocated staffing & financial resources.

Lead Day Service Referrals Process:

* Lead the school leaver project yearly - collaboration with HSE DSOO re referrals/ funding
* Lead the assessment and sampling process for Rehabilitative Training and School Leavers applying for adult day service placements
* Collaboration with HSE DSOO re appeals process

Client Supports:

* To ensure that each person is treated with the utmost respect and dignity and that the Service continually strives to ensure a "good life" for each person supported.
* To promote a Human Rights Based Approach to working with the people we support. Ensuring that the individual, or their decision support maker, are actively involved in the decision-making process.
* To be responsible for overseeing that the individuals care & support plans are prepared, implemented and updated in line with New Directions.
* Liaise with the multidisciplinary team and other agencies as is relevant to the individual's care/support needs and constantly review the quality of service delivered to the people we support.

Compliance & Regulations:

* Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements, including New Directions standards, legislation, and health and safety regulations. Champion a culture of compliance and continuous improvement across day services.
* Lead Day Service Monitoring preparation in collaboration with SAS Quality and Compliance Manager and Director of Services.
* Lead the Easi-tool process within allocated timeframe. Lead the Person-Centred Planning framework process within allocated timeframe.
* Lead the St Aidan's Service's outcomes-focused monitoring/auditing system in line with New Directions.
* Lead services to ensure compliance within the New Direction standards.
* Fulfil the role of Safeguarding Designated Officer (DO), ensuring the prompt and effective response to safeguarding concerns.
* Support the Director of Services to develop and implement Service Plans and Service Level Agreements entered into with the HSE and other relevant agencies; monitors & ensures the delivery of services in line with the quantum of services outlined in the Service Agreements.

Staff Management & Development:

* Lead and inspire a dedicated team of day service managers and staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.

Transportation Coordination:

* Oversee the logistical aspects of transportation services, including route planning, driver management, and coordination of vehicles for appointments and outings. Ensure the safety, efficiency, and accessibility of transportation for individuals.

Qualification/Requirements:

* Hold a Degree in any of the following; Social Care; Applied Social Studies; Applied Social Studies in Social Care; Social Care Practice; Foreign Equivalent (validated by QQI) or Registered Nurse Intellectual Disability (RNID), Registered Nurse Psychiatric (RNP).
* Must have 3-5 years management experience in:-

~ A social care/disability service.

~ Overseeing/implementing New Directions

~ Managing multiple locations/services

~ Implementing the PCP Framework.

* Must hold a full clean driving licence

Recruitment Process:
