Mechanical Engineer Data Centre Consultancy (Dublin) Talent Curve Recruitment is seeking Mechanical Engineers at all levelsfrom ambitious Graduates to Senior Lead Engineersfor a premier technical consultancy in Dublin.
This role is specifically focused on the design and delivery of high-density Data Centre projects across Ireland and Europe.
You will join an elite MEP team providing specialist consultancy services, moving between complex thermodynamic design and high-level project strategy.
Core Responsibilities HVAC & Cooling Strategy: Design high-efficiency cooling solutions for data halls, including chilled water systems, CRAC/CRAH units, and indirect evaporative cooling.
Technical Consultancy: Act as a specialist advisor to global tech clients, conducting feasibility studies, energy audits, and site infrastructure assessments.
BIM Coordination: Oversee or support the development of high-fidelity 3 D Revit models, ensuring full coordination of mechanical services in complex white-space environments.
Project Management: Manage project lifecycles from initial concept and master-planning through to equipment specification, procurement, and site commissioning.
Sustainable Design: Implement NZEB and LEED/BREEAM standards to optimize the Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of mission-critical facilities.
Candidate Profile Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (Level 8).
Experience: All levels considered.
For senior roles, 5+ years of experience specifically within the Data Centre or High-Tech Industrial sectors is essential.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of psychrometrics, fluid dynamics, and MEP service coordination.
Software: Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) modelling software is a distinct advantage.
Attributes: A strategic thinker with a high level of technical accuracy and the ability to manage blue-chip client relationships.
Compensation & Benefits Salary: €40,000 €90,000+ per annum (Negotiable based on depth of Data Centre expertise).
