Your new company HAYS Architecture & Design are working in collaboration again with a prominent Architectural Practice in their search for a talented & driven Senior / Associate Level Architect or Architectural Technologist for their Belfast studio. This is a compelling opportunity to become part of a collaborative, design-led organisation with a strong reputation for delivering innovative, sustainable, and contextually responsible architecture across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and wider UK. A company that brings together Architects, Urban Designers, Interior Designers and Architectural Technologists under one roof, their work is grounded in a deep understanding of people and place, with a commitment to design excellence, and the belief in the power of architecture in enriching lives and community. Whilst they have been enjoying sustained growth, especially in their Belfast office, it is rare that they have a requirement at such a senior level - this should appeal to those who feel stifled or overlooked in their current position, and are looking for a position of influence and progression. Certainly, this position offers an eye-catching blend of platforming and supporting ability, with remuneration, reward and career development. Your new role As the studio's Senior or Associate-level Architect / Architectural Technologist, you'll play a pivotal role in leading and delivering high-quality design and technical solutions across a range of project types and scales. Your responsibilities will centre around the following categories: Design Leadership & Project Delivery Lead the design and development of projects from concept through to completion, ensuring design integrity and technical excellence. Oversee the preparation of planning, tender and construction documentation in line with project requirements and regulatory standards. Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure cohesive and effective project delivery. Champion sustainable and innovative design approaches. Team & Client Engagement Mentor and support junior office members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive studio culture. Act as a key point of contact for clients, consultants and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and strong working relationships. Represent the Belfast studio in meetings, presentations and design reviews. Technical & Regulatory Expertise Provide expert knowledge of building regulations, planning policy and construction methodologies across the UK & Ireland, in shaping project approach. Oversee quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with statutory and contractual obligations. Contribute to the development of BIM workflows and digital design standards within the practice. Strategic Contribution Support studio and wider organisation in business development, including preparation of bids, proposals and participating in interviews. Contribute to the strategic growth of the Belfast Office, helping to shape its culture, reputation and portfolio. Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in design, delivery and client service. You'll have a depth of construction knowledge covering methodologies, the latest building and planning policies and procedures, a grasp on innovative digital construction / software, and the ability to operate at a high level with internal management, external consultants / sub-contractors, clients & stakeholders. With this role likely to require a level of travel to Dublin / the Republic of Ireland - you should have a full UK driving licence, and be open to such a requirement.
