We’re seeking an Interaction Designer to help shape innovative digital interface platforms for medical devices and systems. You’ll be part of a User Experience Design (UXD) team working closely with Marketing, R&D, and global cross-functional teams to design end-to-end user experiences for products that make a real difference in healthcare — from embedded device interfaces to cloud-based software and knowledge portals.
The Role
You’ll apply user-centred design principles, technical design expertise, and critical thinking to create intuitive, efficient, and compliant digital experiences for the next generation of infusion pump systems and related digital ecosystems. This role focuses primarily on New Product Development (NPD), with projects that integrate hardware, embedded software, and standalone applications.
You’ll be responsible for:
* Leading design across multiple matrixed work streams.
* Producing UI specifications, wireframes, workflows, and low/high-fidelity prototypes.
* Driving trade-off discussions and tracking success metrics for UX deliverables.
* Building strong relationships across global teams (Ireland, US, Germany).
* Advocating for UX from early concept through delivery.
* Incorporating Human Factors into design solutions.
* Mentoring peers and fostering a strong UX culture.
About You
You’ll bring a mix of technical skill, creative vision, and collaborative energy, including:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in UX, UI, Interaction Design, HCI, or related field.
* 5+ years of interaction/visual design experience, ideally with medical device or regulated industry projects.
* Strong portfolio showing hardware + embedded UI design (healthcare or wellness focus desirable).
* Proficiency with Axure and Figma (Adobe CC, InVision, Jira also valued).
* Experience in responsive design, cross-platform development, and app frameworks.
* Proven ability to work in Agile/SCRUM environments.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder-influencing skills.
* Organised, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple complex projects.
The Team
You’ll join a growing UXD team of four, adding capacity for key NPD programs in a collaborative, global environment. The work is varied, innovative, and impactful — with a culture that values creativity, collaboration, and user-driven design.
Why Apply?
This is an opportunity to:
* Design solutions that directly impact patient safety and healthcare efficiency.
* Collaborate with talented colleagues in Ireland, the US, and Germany.
* Work on both physical and digital products at the cutting edge of medical technology.
