Position Overview
This is a full-time position, 5 days over 7 days. Typical hours are 3pm until closing; flexibility is required. Hours are subject to change.
Duties
Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner at all times and make appropriate recommendations where required.
Excellent knowledge of traditional and classic drinks, including cocktails, is essential.
Have excellent knowledge of the wines and other beverages that you will serve, including the different spirits, beers and soft drinks available, and be able to open, pour and serve all of them according to the Ballyfin 5-star standards.
Prepare and set up the pre-dinner drinks section in a timely manner, ensuring excellent presentation.
Manage stock levels and replenish where required.
Ensure the bar area and bar equipment are kept clean and presentable at all times.
Correctly take orders, ensuring no errors, including answering any questions that guests may have on the menu or drinks.
Stay up to date on dietary requirements.
Demonstrate a commitment to customer and service excellence at all times.
Anticipate guests' needs to enhance quality service and thereby enhance guest satisfaction.
Provide professional, prompt service of food and wine to the highest standards.
Train junior members of staff and work with them to improve their knowledge of beverages.
