 
        Post SummaryWe are seeking a research assistant for a qualitative research-focused project that aims to advance the development of digital mobility outcome measures, through understanding patient needs and experiences. The successful candidate will work on a recently funded Health Research Board project titled "Mobility mapping: Working with people with multiple sclerosis to map real-world walking experiences to digital mobility outcome measures, to improve clinical assessment." This project looks to progress the development of digital mobility outcome measures for use in clinical trials. A key consideration for this is to ensure that new measures are meaningful to people with multiple sclerosis and that a diverse sample of people are recruited to understand this concept. This project builds on existing work in digital mobility outcome development, completed by Mobilise-D, by focusing on patient perspectives and acceptability of mobility data as a measure of health.Reporting to the Principal Investigator of this project, the role involves working with researchers and community leaders in Ireland and collaborating sites within Europe, along with the Patient and Public Involvement group of the project. The successful candidate will collaborate with the research team to ensure data accuracy, assist with literature reviews, and contribute to reports and presentations. Ideally candidates will have experience in qualitative research methods, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail. Knowledge of digital health, mobility studies, or working alongside under-served group is advantageous.Standard Duties and Responsibilities of the Post- Conducting research in line with project goals and deliverables including:Recruiting people with MSConducting and analysing qualitative interviewsConducting and analysing a real-time Delphi studyWorking with other researchers across Europe to recruit a diverse sample of people with MS.Performing literature searches and producing reviews of the literature to support the delivery of the project.Co-ordinating the Patient and Public Involvement group to embed the patient perspective across the research project.Engaging with healthcare professionals and community leaders to build and foster relationships in underserved communities.Contributing to the publication of reports, articles and data, and the dissemination of all research outputs.Responding to internal and external queries about research.Performing any other reasonable duties as directed by line management.Co-ordinating own day-to-day work to support the project aims.This list should not be regarded as exhaustive and the post holder will beexpected to deliver other duties relevant and appropriate to this post.Funding InformationThis post is funded by the Health Research Board's Emerging Investigator Award.
