DescriptionCodec is looking for a Portfolio Manager to join their team.
Key ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for:
Successfully delivering programmes of high complexity, leading by example, being visible and accessible, and setting the tone and pace for the programme.Clearly communicating engagement goals and success criteria, and specifying required outcomes.Setting clear priorities and maintaining focus on the critical path.Establishing supportive and effective working relationships with all stakeholders.Ensuring contractual compliance throughout the programme and that the client meets their obligations.Establishing effective governance and controls.Regularly, clearly, and accurately reporting on programme performance.Understanding and safeguarding the critical path.Anticipating and mitigating risks, resolving exceptions as they arise.Focusing on benefits tracking and realization throughout delivery.Meeting or exceeding programme success criteria.Owning and leading client and subcontractor engagements, acting as the 'figurehead' for the programme.Engaging stakeholders at all levels, building positive relationships, and communicating effectively to influence outcomes.Understanding client culture and values, adapting engagement strategies accordingly.Understanding the client business case.Directing and engaging the programme team to optimize client satisfaction.Exemplifying and role-modeling Codec values.Applying effective team and people management skills to build and optimize high-performing teams.Engaging the team, fostering trust and confidence, and building a positive team culture.Coaching, guiding, and directing Senior Project Managers and PMO Leads.Influencing, organizing, and directing the programme team.Challenging poor performance and encouraging team contributions. Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseAt least 5 years' recent experience in delivering complex programmes, with successful delivery using waterfall, agile, and hybrid methods.
Demonstrate deep and broad experience in commercial, financial, and risk management, with evidence of success in each area.Influence programme profitability directly.Introduce innovation and efficiency in programme delivery, proactively identifying and mitigating avoidable costs.Drive successful commercial and financial outcomes.Ensure contractual compliance and effective risk management across the programme.Apply sound judgment, anticipate opportunities and threats, and take timely, proportionate actions.
