Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Jewellery Sales and Merchandising Professional to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling jewellery and providing exceptional customer service.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong knowledge of jewellery and luxury watches, and the ability to work well under pressure as part of a team.
Main Responsibilities:
* Greeting customers and building rapport with them
* Assessing the value of jewellery and luxury watches
* Operating the till system and handling cash transactions
* Visual merchandising to maintain high display standards and window displays
* Cleaning and polishing jewellery for sale using specialized equipment
* Performing light cleaning duties to maintain a tidy store environment
* General upkeep of stock and ensuring the security of items on display
* Ad-hoc administrative tasks and running errands as required
* Providing general assistance to the sales team and reporting directly to the store manager
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* Proven experience in retail sales and customer service, particularly in the jewellery industry
* Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
* Confidence in negotiating and closing sales and loans
* Excellent computer skills and a willingness to learn new tasks
* A passion for delivering exceptional customer service
* Prior experience in jewellery retail, silversmithing, or goldsmithing training, and/or knowledge of gemstones is highly valued
