OverviewJob Summary: Zurich Insurance Company is looking for a Lawyer for a 12 month fixed term contract. This role will provide professional and independent legal advice to Zurich’s business in Ireland. The role primarily supports Zurich's Irish Business located in Blackrock, Dublin, with potential work from other locations. The role may be available part-time or full-time. Details about flexibility can be discussed at interview.Your RoleYour Role: As a Lawyer your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:Provide general commercial, financial services and/or regulatory adviceProvide legal advice on insurance and investment mattersDraft, negotiate, review, and advise on a variety of commercial contracts, products and supporting documentationEnsure that advice accurately reflects applicable laws, regulations and practiceMitigate legal risk and assist with commercial risk mitigation and regulatory complianceRelationshipsInternal:Extended Legal Team in IrelandRelevant business contacts and senior management“Service provider” relationship with business contacts that call on adviceExternal:External lawyersZurich GroupBrokers and Customers as deemed necessary by the businessYour Skills And ExperienceAs a Lawyer your skills and qualifications will include:Relevant degree - Legal/BusinessQualified Lawyer – Ideal candidate will have 4-6 years post-qualification experience in commercial or financial servicesExperience of insurance / investment / pensions financial services practice from an Irish legal and regulatory perspective is an advantageTechnical CompetenciesPractical understanding of financial services is an advantageStrong drafting skillsAbility to research legislationNon Technical CompetenciesCommunication, influencing and negotiation skills with ability to adapt style to suit audienceAbility to work within a team environmentAbility to take initiative in fast moving environmentCustomer centricStrong problem solving abilityAdditional InformationPrimary work location: Blackrock. Position is Dublin-based but occasional travel may be required to other Zurich locations.
