In addition to this guest can unwind in our Spirt One Spa and take advantage of Energize Fitness and Leisure.Purpose of the RoleWe are now recruiting for an Assistant Front Office Manager to support and lead the Front Office team to deliver efficient, engaging, and professional guest experiences while contributing to room revenue performance, operational excellence, and team development. The Assistant FO Manager will act as a key point of contact between guests and management, ensuring smooth daily operation, strong service recovery, and consistent application of hotel standards.Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & OperationsLead daily Front Office operations to ensure smooth check-in, check-out, billing accuracy, and service delivery.Ensure all guest interactions are handled promptly, professionally, and in line with brand standards.Manage guest feedback, complaints, and service recovery with timely follow-up and documented outcomes.Oversee VIP, returning guest, and high-profile arrivals ensuring personalised attention and preparation.Support oversell and fully booked scenarios, managing walk situations calmly and professionally.Ensure compliance with hotel policies, financial procedures, data protection requirements, and legal obligations.Leadership & People ManagementSupervise, coach, and support the Front Office team to achieve high productivity, engagement, and service performance.Manage team scheduling, holiday planning, attendance, and performance in line with business needs.Lead training, onboarding, and skill development to ensure consistent service standards and operational competence.Support performance management and discipline processes when required, in coordination with Department Heads.Revenue, Efficiency & Business SupportSupport Front Office contribution to revenue performance through upselling, rate integrity, and occupancy management.Monitor operational standards, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend solutions to leadership.Assist with departmental planning, projects, reporting, and implementation of business initiatives.Safety, Security & ComplianceEnsure all Front Office procedures follow health, safety, and security standards.Promote a safe working environment and ensure incidents, risks, and hazards are reported and acted upon.Support implementation of hotel emergency procedures when required.RequirementsProven Front Office supervisory or assistant management experience in a hotel environment.Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.High proficiency with hotel PMS and Front Office systems; confident with technology and reporting.Guest-focused mindset with strong service recovery capability.Ability to work flexible hours in line with operational needs.BenefitsA competitive salary Staff MealsHotel discounts for hotels within MHL CollectionDiscounted Gym MembershipIncreased annual leave days with serviceOn-site parkingWellness programAbout the MHL Hotel Collection:MHL group is a renowned portfolio of 14 well known, high profile Hotel's across Dublin, Wicklow, Galway, Limerick & Belfast, operating 2,200 bedrooms and some of Ireland's best-known international brands.
