Summary of the role
The Junior Associate will assist the Structured Finance team in the management of ongoing client company service requirements within the Waystone business. This role will support the Irish team in the preparation of management accounts, Financial Statements and ensuring tax compliance by these companies within their respective local regulatory regimes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assisting with the preparation of all client regulatory filings including but not limited to VAT, PAYE, Central Bank
Support the team in the preparation of client Management Accounts & Financial Statements
Assume responsibility and accountability for tasks as allocated.
Ensuring that all tasks assigned are completed in a timely manner and submitted to the manager.
Escalation of any issues as they arise.
Achieving quality in all tasks
Ensure that all work undertaken complies with the company's policies and procedures
Work with senior team members to build and maintain the client relationship and contribute to the growth of the business.
Develop skillsets and become subject matter experts.
Assist in ad-hoc and project requirements as required by senior team members.
Adhere to internal procedures to meet professional standards, ensuring all learnings are completed on time
Preparation of board meeting packs and presentation at board meetings.
Requirements

Education
A degree, preferably in Finance or Accountancy.
Intention to pursue ACA/ACCA or similar qualification
Experience
An ability to work on own initiative as part of a wider team.
Respect of different views, cultures, and methods with a willingness to embrace them.
Effective communication skills and adept at building relationships
Knowledge of accounts production and/or financial reporting (desirable).
Ability/experience working in a demanding environment with outstanding time management, organizational, oral/written communication skills, critical thinking and attention to detail.
Strong MS Office Skills with a focus on Excel.
