The Sales Assistant role plays a crucial part in ensuring an exceptional customer experience across all stores. In this capacity, you will work closely with colleagues to maintain the highest standards of customer satisfaction.
* Responding to customer queries and concerns, thereby enhancing customer loyalty and retention
* Handling transactions efficiently, including cash management and financial responsibilities
* Inventory control and stock optimization
* MERCHANDISING strategies for optimal sales performance
* Gaining a working knowledge of our core retail system
* Undertaking additional tasks, duties, and projects as required by management
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
* Prior experience in retail or sales roles within Agri, DIY & Hardware, Paint, and/or Gardening sectors is highly advantageous, with training provided where necessary
* Excellent customer service skills and a strong ability to communicate effectively
* A self-motivated individual capable of working independently and as part of a cohesive team
* Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
* An enthusiastic approach and flexibility in response to changing business needs
* Desirable knowledge of the agricultural sector would be an added advantage
