Job Title: Piping Installation Team Lead
Job Overview:
The Piping Installation Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all piping installation activities at the construction site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, quality standards, and schedule requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Coordination: Supervise daily piping construction activities including fabrication, installation, hydrotesting, and flushing.
* Technical Guidance: Interpret piping isometric drawings, P&IDs, and material specifications.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure work is performed according to design, specifications, and project standards.
* Progress Monitoring: Monitor and verify contractor and subcontractor work quality and progress.
* Collaboration: Coordinate with QA/QC, HSE, Planning, and Engineering departments.
* Inventory Management: Ensure proper handling and storage of piping materials and equipment.
* Resource Allocation: Manage and track manpower, tools, and materials on site.
* Safety Leadership: Conduct and participate in daily toolbox talks and safety meetings.
* Reporting: Prepare and submit daily progress reports, inspection requests, and site instructions.
* HSE Compliance: Ensure compliance with all HSE regulations and promote a strong safety culture.
* Troubleshooting: Resolve technical or site-related issues in coordination with engineering or project team.
Required Qualifications:
* Education: Third level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
* Experience: 7+ years of experience in piping construction, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
* Skills: Strong knowledge of piping systems, welding techniques, and construction standards.
* Familiarity: Familiarity with isometrics, P&IDs, and piping material specifications.
* Understanding: Understanding of hydrotest packages and pre-commissioning activities.
