Overview
We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator with a strong background in AWS or Azure cloud environments and a focus on automation, scalability, and system reliability. The successful candidate will manage and enhance our infrastructure across on-premise and cloud platforms, supporting high-availability systems that underpin critical business services.
Key Responsibilities
* Administer and maintain Linux and/or Windows server environments in both on-premise and cloud-based setups.
* Manage and optimize AWS or Azure services — compute, storage, networking, and security.
* Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
* Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Python, or similar) to streamline deployments and system operations.
* Support and manage containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
* Monitor system performance, availability, and security with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or equivalent tools.
* Oversee patch management and vulnerability remediation (e.g., Qualys).
* Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and documentation.
* Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and security teams to ensure robust, compliant, and scalable infrastructure.
Minimum Qualifications
* 3+ years’ experience in Systems Administration, SRE, or DevOps roles.
* Proven hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.
* Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.).
* Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, routing, load balancing).
* Experience with microservices deployments and architectures.
* Infrastructure-as-Code expertise (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
* Knowledge of cloud security and governance (IAM, Security Groups, VPC design).
* Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and passionate about continuous improvement.
Preferred / Nice to Have
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and source control (Git, Azure DevOps).
* Database administration experience (SQL Server or equivalent).
* AWS or Azure certifications.
* Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
* Familiarity with Agile or Kanban delivery methodologies.
* Understanding of cost optimization and cloud governance best practices.
