Role Summary
The Production Operator will be responsible for supporting day-to-day manufacturing operations within the Hygeia Oranmore site. This role involves operating production equipment, handling materials, and ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company quality standards.
The ideal candidate will be reliable, safety conscious, and comfortable working as part of a fast-paced production team.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate production and packaging machinery according to standard operating procedures
* Accurately follow production schedules and work instructions
* Carry out basic equipment checks and report any faults or maintenance issues
* Ensure products meet quality specifications and report deviations
* Handle raw materials and finished goods safely and efficiently
* Always maintain high housekeeping and hygiene standards
* Adhere to all Health Safety, GMP, and company policies
* Complete required documentation and production records accurately
* Work collaboratively with supervisors, quality, and maintenance teams
* Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production area
Health, Safety Quality
* Follow all site safety rules, risk assessments, and safe systems of work
* Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
* Comply with quality standards relevant to hygiene and chemical production
* Report near misses, incidents, or safety concerns promptly
Essential
Skills Experience
* Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
* Strong attention to detail and quality
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Good communication skills (verbal and written)
* Willingness to work shift patterns if required
Desirable
* Experience in chemical, and non-hazardous manufacturing
* Forklift licence (or willingness to train)
* Familiarity with GMP or ISO standards
