Cleantech Civils is currently seeking experienced Project Manager and Site Engineer for a key infrastructure project based in Tullamore, Co. Kerry. These roles involve overseeing the construction of a substation and associated grid route.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Reporting directly to a Contacts Manager, overseeing site managers/engineers and subcontractors, and taking full responsibility for the safe, timely execution of works in accordance with budget, programme, and quality requirements.
2. Experience in reinforced concrete structures is essential.
3. Wastewater large diameter pipework experience is essential.
4. Resolving unexpected technical difficulties and other problems arising from details issued or site situations.
5. Keeping the project team informed on relevant technical and engineering issues.
6. Ensuring contractors on site execute works as per method statements and risk assessments.
7. Acting as the main technical adviser on site for subcontractors, craftspeople, and operatives.
8. Ensuring materials and work performed meet specifications.
9. Assisting with material and plant management and requisition.
10. Monitoring and interpreting contract design documents.
11. Liaising with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, and quantity surveyors.
12. Promoting HS&E procedures and best practices, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
13. Managing construction sites and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to procedures.
14. Establishing and promoting high standards of quality, safety, and environmental practices.
15. Promoting customer focus throughout the organization.
Selection Criteria / Person Specification for Project Manager:
* Third-level qualification in Construction/Civil Engineering or similar.
* Extensive project management experience within civils/water environments.
* Experience with MS Project.
* Valid Safe Pass, SMSTS, and/or MSIC card.
* Attention to detail, accuracy, and a methodical approach.
* Leadership, initiative, and self-motivation skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong planning and time management skills.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities for Site Engineer:
1. Establish level and survey control for contracts.
2. Set out detailed works as per drawings, with regular checks.
3. Maintain accurate records complying with legal and organizational requirements.
4. Resolve technical issues promptly.
5. Produce procurement schedules and liaise with procurement.
6. Promote best practices and produce site diaries and records.
7. Establish safe working practices and ensure legal and environmental compliance.
8. Deliver work safely, on time, and defect-free.
9. Identify value engineering opportunities.
10. Promote customer focus and EHS awareness on site.
Selection Criteria / Person Specification for Site Engineer:
* Third-level qualification in Construction/Civil Engineering or similar.
* 2-3 years of site-based setting out experience.
* Knowledge of construction methods, health & safety, environmental, and legal regulations.
* Proficiency with robotic total stations or EDM instruments.
* Self-driven, results-oriented, with a positive outlook.
* Experience in temporary work coordination is a benefit.
* Experience with MS Project.
* Valid Safe Pass, SMSTS, or MSIC card.
