Retail Financial Solutions (RFS) is a leading retail accountancy and consulting firm in Ireland.
Due to significant business growth, we have an exciting new opportunity for Senior Qualified Accountants to join our business in Macroom, Co.
Cork (conveniently located between Cork city and Killarney), to liaise with clients and manage a small team of Trainee and Assistant Accountants.
We employ approximately 50 staff, which increases each year as we grow.
Our clients include SuperValu, Centra, MACE, Londis, Costcutter and Spar stores nationally.

The Role:
Preparation and review of Management Accounts with strong emphasis on investigating gross margin variances and forming an action plan to enhance margin and reduce costs
Evaluate and implement effective internal controls
Working capital management
Providing full financial control services to clients
Managing a team.
The Person:
Qualified accountant with over 5 years post qualified experience.
Proficient in all aspects of accounts preparation
Comfortable in dealing with clients, presenting financial analysis to them, and suggesting operational and financial improvements
Strong attention detail
Ability to train and supervise junior staff
Competent IT skills
Excellent organisational skills and be capable of working on own initiative and to tight deadlines
Understanding of the retail sector (advantageous but not essential)
Available to start immediately (highly desirable but not essential)
Qualifications:
Must hold a relevant third level degree
Must have a recognised professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA or ACA, or close to final exams
Having previous experience within a similar role in a retail environment (such as with a supermarket in Ireland or with another retail accountancy firm) would be an advantage but all relevant applications will be considered, as full retail accountancy training will be provided.
