Service Engineer – YORK Chiller Technician (Cork)We are looking for a Cork‑based, qualified Service Engineer to join our growing team of specialised YORK Chiller technicians, commissioning and maintaining YORK chiller equipment and supporting customers’ facilities.ResponsibilitiesProvide up‑to‑date site surveys, records, and reports regarding works completed and actions needed to assist in quoting new or replacement equipment.Commission, service, troubleshoot and maintain industrial water‑/air‑cooled chillers and heat pumps.Act as the primary contact for all technical service issues, accountable for resolving highly complex systems within defined timeframes and according to service agreements.Work primarily with the company’s largest customers in the Cork area, predominantly in pharmaceutical, life‑science and high‑tech sectors.Maintain health and safety standards and comply with the Zero Harm policy.Operate largely independently with limited supervision while contributing to team success.QualificationsRefrigeration F‑GAS 2079 certificate.Ammonia experience is an advantage.Relevant trade qualification in refrigeration, or a qualified industrial electrician willing to cross‑train on YORK chillers and heat pumps.Safe Pass Card and Manual Handling certificate.Minimum NFQ 5 qualification.Experience with large‑ton centrifugal and screw chillers and heat pumps (factory training supplied).Familiarity with major chiller manufacturers such as York, Sabroe, Trane, Carrier and Daikin.Capacity to work without detailed procedures and with limited supervision.Full Clean Irish driving licence.BenefitsCompetitive salary.Paid overtime and travel time.On‑call allowance.Lunch allowance.Paid overnight expenses where applicable.Performance‑based annual pay review.Productivity bonus incentives.New‑business identification incentive scheme.Employee referral programme.Paid annual leave – 25 days plus bank holidays.Holiday buy‑back option available.Comprehensive benefits package: pension, health insurance and life assurance.Company vehicle, phone, laptop, iPad and specialist test equipment provided.Working Hours39‑hour week: Monday‑Thursday (8:00am‑4:30pm) & Friday (8:00am‑3:30pm).
