I am currently partnering with a well established food manufacturing organisation in Co. Kildare who are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead site maintenance operations and drive plant performance.
This is a senior, hands on leadership role with responsibility for electrical and mechanical maintenance, team development, compliance, and continuous improvement across the site.
The Role
Reporting to the Factory Manager, the Maintenance Manager will be responsible for:
Leading and developing a high performing, multi skilled maintenance team
Driving plant efficiencies with a strong focus on preventative and problem maintenance
Designing and implementing maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods
Managing and optimising the CMMS system (Flex)
Collaborating closely with Production to support site schedules and reduce downtime
Diagnosing breakdowns and implementing preventative maintenance programmes
Overseeing electrical and mechanical services across the site
Managing maintenance budgets, KPIs, and overall equipment effectiveness
Installing and commissioning new plant equipment and services
Managing contractors, service contracts, and critical suppliers
Maintaining safety, quality, hygiene, and environmental standards and presenting to auditors as required
The Ideal Background
Minimum 5 years’ experience leading a maintenance team in a manufacturing environment
Electrical qualification with industrial experience
Proven people management and team development skills
Ability to apply engineering principles in practical, operational settings
Strong communication skills and a proactive, can do mindset
Experience driving continuous improvement and lean initiatives
Controls, PLC, automation, or software experience
