Electrical Maintenance Technician
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team.
Job Summary:
A reliable and skilled Electrician with experience in maintaining and repairing production machinery and electrical systems is required. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and working closely with external technicians when specialised support is required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintaining and repairing all production machinery and electrical systems within the facility.
* Performing routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on all electrical systems, production machinery, and equipment.
* Troubleshooting and resolving both electrical and mechanical issues on production machinery, including conveyors, mixers, packaging machines, and other equipment.
* Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical components such as motors, control panels, wiring, sensors, and power distribution systems.
* Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with relevant health and safety regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures.
Requirements:
* Qualified Electrician with a recognised electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
* Proven experience as an electrician in an industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably within the food production sector.
* 18th Edition qualified, Additional certifications in mechanical maintenance, multi-skilled engineering, or related discipline.
* Experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of production machinery and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Familiarity with working alongside external contractors and technicians for more complex maintenance tasks or specialised machinery support.
* Experience with control panels and automated machinery.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external service providers.
Benefits:
* Salary: £40,000 per annum.
* Flexible working hours with Monday - Friday 8.30 am - 5.00 pm schedule.
