Owing to expansion over the last 12 months, our client is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team. In addition, the role will lead the annual audit process for the Group & the annual budgeting process for the Group. It also involves delivering timely, accurate and informative reporting to key external stakeholders on a monthly/quarterly basis and responding to any queries that may arise. The role will also take a lead role in forecasting & managing the funding drawdowns for the group as required. Key responsibilities
Finance Operations & Reporting
* Manage AP & AR processes, Intercompany & other transactions
* Manage month-end and year-end close, from journal processing through to creation of management accounts with variance analysis
* Prepare financial statements in line with GAAP
* Maintain ledger integrity, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions
* Deliver variance analysis and performance commentary for consolidated reporting to internal (senior leaders, board of directors) & external stakeholders
* Conduct technical accounting research as needed
Compliance & Audit
* Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory standards
* Manage VAT and CT returns as required, with support from tax advisors
* Manage routine company secretarial filings as required
* Lead the annual external audit process for the Group, acting as primary contact
Budgeting, Forecasting & Working Capital Management
* Lead annual budgeting and forecasting across the Group
* Maintain cashflow models to manage working capital and funding requirements
* Manage cash extraction/drawdown processes for the Group as required
Process Improvement, IT automation
* Drive process efficiencies and support finance system enhancements
Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Attributes
* Accounting qualification, 5-7 years PQE
* Strong analytical and communication skills

* Renewables experience & automation/IT transformation experience an advantage
