Ciallaíonn sé sin go bhfuilimid bródúil as an bhfreagracht a ghlacadh as ár soláthar uisce a chosaint agus córas sábháilte uisce a chur ar aghaidh chuig daonra atá ag fás go tapa agus fás sóisialta agus eacnamaíoch na hÉireann a chumhachtú.

Tá freagracht ar réimse feidhme na nOibríochtaí Sócmhainní as straitéis oibríochta agus cothabhála, beartais, pleanáil agus nósanna imeachta na n-oibriúchán caighdeánach le haghaidh oibríochtaí Uisce agus Fuíolluisce go náisiúnta agus go réigiúnach, rud a chinntíonn go gcuirtear luach ar airgead agus ar sheirbhís do chustaiméirí ar fáil.
Tá freagracht ar an bhfoireann Oibriúcháin agus Cothabhála as soláthar náisiúnta seirbhísí oibriúcháin uisce agus fuíolluisce trí shócmhainní an líonra agus cóireáil uisce agus fuíolluisce a oibriú, a iniúchadh, a chothabháil agus a dheisiú.
Tá sainchúram réigiúnach ag an bhFoireann Oibriúcháin agus Cothabhála as bainistíocht oibríochta réigiúnach a dhéanamh ar chóireáil uisce agus fuíolluisce agus ar shócmhainní an líonra agus as an soláthar seirbhísí uisce agus fuíolluisce a bhaineann leis na freagrachtaí sin trí ghníomhaíochtaí oibríochta, cothabhála agus deisiúcháin, chomh maith le sláinte agus sábháilteacht a bhainistiú.
Príomhdhualgais agus Freagrachtaí:
Support water & wastewater treatment maintenance services using mechanical craft skills.
Undertake a range of mechanical tasks such as cleaning, servicing, inspecting and testing replacement of worn parts or carrying out replacement of parts.
This may include the routine maintenance or removal of pumps, pump component replacements, engines, valves, gearboxes, specialist electrical interface hydraulics and pneumatics, fitting, pipe disconnections, and mechanical devices (such as bearing's couplings, brakes and safety guards).
Ensure the personal safety of self and others by undertaking Risk Assessments and the subsequent selection of appropriate equipment and safe working practices.
Adhere to health and safety, systems and procedures.
Support mechanical maintenance on the water network assets (e.g. pumping stations) and secondary treatment plants, carrying out all work as per the Uisce Éireann H&S requirements.
Undertake administrative tasks, including the completion of work orders, H&S records, risk-based maintenance management and inventory management using the technology systems provided.
Promptly record and accurately report relevant information in relation to data on existing or replacement assets using the technology systems provided.
Record data as required on handheld devices provided
Provide oversight on relevant works involving 3rd party contracts/others as required
Perform duties under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act, including; identify hazards and conduct site risk assessments in advance of work activities; apply safe work procedures and standard operating procedures; undertake all assigned health and safety training, including Safe Pass and, where relevant, Certified Construction Skills; use appropriate safety equipment and tools, including Personal Protective Equipment; maintain site welfare facilities; control and record access to sites by other Uisce Éireann personnel and by external visitors and service providers; co-operate at site level with other Uisce Éireann personnel and with other service providers; record all site matters, including accidents, incidents and near misses; complete any corrective actions for Operational area of responsibility; provide support in updating the Construction Stage Safety & Health Plan; provide relevant information for the Safety File; update and maintain the Safety File locally and send updates to Uisce Éireann's ECM system.
Carry out any other duties deemed necessary and/or required which your line manager may reasonably request
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate or equivalent in one of the below disciplines –
Craft of Mechanical Automation and Maintenance Fitting
Craft of Construction Plant Fitting
Craft of Heavy Vehicle Mechanics
Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
We keep each other safe - experience and understanding of working within a strong health & safety culture
A good general understanding of the working of pumps, motors, munchers, dosing pumps, air blowers, compressors, sludge, presses, aerators, welding skills and should be familiar with all waterworks fittings, including valves, pipes etc. is preferable
Knowledge of Potable Water Network systems fittings an advantage
Experience of working with automated control systems an advantage
Full, clean and valid Irish category B driving licence is minimum requirement.
A clean driving licence is defined as meaning that the applicant has not been convicted of an offence under the Road Traffic Acts (other than an offence for which the penalty points may be imposed)
Experience of using IT systems and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office e.g. Word & Excel preferable
We aim high - strong problem-solving skills and drive to resolve issues promptly using initiative
We work better together - proven ability to create and develop good working relationships
Strong literacy skills
Experience working within Water Industry and/or other Utilities preferred
With full training and risk assessment, the role holder must have the ability to work in environments that may attract vermin, be noisy and require use of ear defence, enter confined spaces where trained to do so.
