Job Title: Financial Accountant Assistant
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic finance team within a growing business. The role will be based on-site for the first six months, transitioning to a hybrid working arrangement thereafter.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls
* Assist with critical reporting processes, including intercompany reconciliations, profit and loss and balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end close
* Post journals, manage ERP system processes, and maintain the integrity of accounting ledgers
* Oversee the corporate credit card process, prepare daily sales and treasury reports, review production variances, authorise supplier and payroll payments, and operate the monthly cash flow forecasting model
* Assist in preparing monthly financial accounts packages, support the review of sales flash reports, and analyse variances against budgets and forecasts
* Contribute to internal and external audits by ensuring timely documentation, reviewing internal control procedures, recommending improvements, and performing ad-hoc administrative and financial tasks as required
Requirements:
* Hold a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or CPA), either full or part-qualified
* Have previous experience in a similar position
* Strong proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are required
* Be highly inquisitive, proactive in problem-solving, and capable of working under pressure to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
* A team-oriented approach combined with the ability to work independently is key, and fluency in English is required
