Senior Electronic Engineer (NPI) We're working with a medical device company in Galway that is actively recruiting for a Senior Electronic Engineer to support New Product Introduction (NPI) and scale manufacturing. This role will span process development and support for product industrialization, including smooth integration into manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities Drive NPI efforts, including design transfer and collaboration with contract manufacturers and internal stakeholders. Partner with suppliers and vendors to ensure compliance with technical specs and quality standards. Support process development, DFM/DFT strategies, and test systems for manufacturing scalability. Participate in design reviews, FMEAs, and verification/validation activities. Maintain documentation to support regulatory compliance and production readiness (e.g., design history files). Troubleshoot complex issues during both development and production phases. Mentor junior engineers and provide cross-functional technical leadership. Requirements; Bachelors or Masters in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar. 7+ years of experience in electronic hardware design and production ramp-up. Proven success in NPI and working with regulated manufacturing processes. Strong grasp of embedded systems, sensor integration, and analog/digital circuit design. Proficiency with design tools like Altium Designer and hands-on experience with lab test equipment. Excellent analytical, debugging, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Desirable: Experience integrating camera modules or working with imaging systems. Familiarity with ISO 13485 or other regulated quality systems. Knowledge of DFM/DFT principles and scalable design practices. Scripting or firmware experience (e.g., Python or embedded C) a bonus.
