This is a day shift role.
The position reports to the Manager Data Center or Manager Engineering Operation.
The Site Engineer III works closely with the responsible Lead Engineer and/or Manager Engineering Operations and other Site teams.
Beyond Site Operations contacts are maintained with Property Operations & Service planning, Implementation Services and Customer Success management.
External contact with customers and suppliers operating on the sites.
What you'll do
Lead in upholding company safety policies, operational efficiency, and core values.
Ensure strict compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.
Oversee maintenance and repair activities, including coordination with subcontractors.
Manage on-call duties and incident resolution as needed.
Document and analyze progress, issues, and outcomes, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide comprehensive supervision, training, mentoring, and guidance to site engineers, fostering their professional development, and contributing to team development and recruitment efforts.
Demonstrate mastery across a wide range of essential technical skills, including complex troubleshooting and project management.
Possess in-depth expertise in the specialized technical field relevant to the position.
What you'll need
Proven experience in 'Mission critical' operations and maintenance of large scale electrotechnical and/or mechanical systems
Technical education / training certification in the field of 'Mission Critical' Operations.
Education to a vocational level in a technical field and/or site engineering position
Skilled in maintenance of electrotechnical and/or mechanical systems
Preferably skilled in the maintenance of fire detection and suppression systems
Novice in maintenance of conveyor technique (elevators), and/or technical security systems (CCTV, Access Control)
HVAC Mechanical and/or Electrical
Digital Realty Internal certifications
Proficient in utilizing various test equipment.
Soft Skills: Having excellent problem analysis skills
Pro-active with a Customer and Business focused and is searching for ways to enhance the agreed services to provide the customer with the best possible outcome.
Has attention to detail and has a 'Hands-on' mentality.
Is resilient.
Good communication skills
Can demonstrate excellent leadership skills in line with our company expectations,
