The primary function of the Sales Advisor is to deliver sales of Personal Lines, Agri, and Commercial Business. The role involves assisting in the overall running of the Sales Office to provide superior and efficient customer care, achieve sales targets, and enhance the local FBD Brand.
Job Responsibilities
Working closely with and reporting to the Branch Manager and Sales Development Co-Ordinator, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Achieving individual sales targets through prospecting, up-selling, and cross-selling of Personal Lines, Commercial, and Agri business.
2. Handling customer queries and referring unresolved or technical issues to relevant personnel.
3. Ensuring compliance with all systems and procedures laid down by the Company.
4. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the Company’s products and compliance requirements, and completing relevant industry qualifications and CPD hours as needed.
5. Participating in various office tasks, including going to the Mart, and working flexibly within the Sales Office.
6. Providing support to other Sales Offices in the region, as required.
7. Developing relationships with the local FBD Life and Pension Financial Advisor to enhance service delivery.
8. Engaging in account management initiatives for Commercial and Agri business.
9. Following up on renewals, identifying sales opportunities, and suggesting cover or rate improvements.
10. Assisting customers at the initial notification of claims, following company procedures.
11. Managing individual outstanding debit and premium collections.
Additional Responsibilities
* Supporting the Sales Executive and Branch Manager as directed.
* Administering Personal Lines, Commercial, and Agri business tasks as required.
* Performing duties as assigned by management.
Education
* Leaving Certificate or equivalent, and/or relevant third-level qualification.
* Qualifications such as Approved Product Advisor (APA), Approved Product Professional (APP), Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP), or Grandfathered Accreditation are desirable, with assistance provided to obtain these qualifications within the timeframe set by the Central Bank of Ireland.
Experience
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Experience in insurance or financial services is advantageous.
* Proactive, energetic, and positive approach.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to develop and maintain customer relationships.
* Ambitious, target-driven, and results-oriented.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Compliance with the Minimum Competency Code and Fitness and Probity Standards as per Central Bank regulations.
MCC
This role is a controlled function under the Central Bank of Ireland's Fitness and Probity Regime, requiring compliance with its standards at all times. The position is identified as holding a CF3, CF4, designation.
Additional Information
This is a permanent position within Pay Band A of FBD’s Sales Functions Pay band.
