Job Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive
Quality Assurance Engineer
to join our growing team in Ireland. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products through manual and automated testing. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that meet both business and user requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and execute
test plans, test cases, and test scripts
for web and/or mobile applications
* Perform
manual and automated testing
including functional, regression, integration, and system testing
* Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g. Jira)
* Collaborate closely with
software developers, product owners, and DevOps teams
to ensure quality throughout the SDLC
* Participate in
requirements analysis and design reviews
to provide early QA input
* Develop and maintain
automated test frameworks
where applicable
* Support
UAT (User Acceptance Testing)
and release validation
* Ensure compliance with
quality standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements
(where applicable)
* Continuously improve QA processes and testing efficiency
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in
Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
, or equivalent experience
* Proven experience as a
QA Engineer / Software Tester
* Strong understanding of
software testing methodologies, tools, and processes
* Experience with
manual testing
and
test case design
* Familiarity with
automation tools
such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar
* Experience with
bug tracking and test management tools
(e.g. Jira, TestRail)
* Basic knowledge of
SQL and APIs (REST)
is an advantage
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills in
English
Nice to Have
* Experience working in
Agile / Scrum
environments
* CI/CD pipeline experience (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
* Performance or security testing experience
* ISTQB certification or similar
* Experience testing cloud-based applications (AWS / Azure / GCP)
