The Person in Charge (PIC) plays a pivotal role within residential services for adults with intellectual disabilities. This key leadership position requires effective leadership to ensure the highest standards of care and support, in line with HIQA regulations.
Responsibilities:
* Lead a staff team effectively, delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
* Manage daily operations to achieve seamless delivery of care services.
* Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of HIQA regulations and ensure compliance.
* Experience working with adults with behaviours that challenge is desirable.
Requirements:
* Not less than 3 years' experience working with children/adults with an intellectual disability in a residential setting.
* A social care worker qualification (CORU Registered) or a Nursing qualification (with NMBI registration/PIN).
* Proven managerial skills with not less than three years' experience at management level and an appropriate management qualification to Fetac/QQI level 6 or equivalent.
