The Role
We are seeking experienced MIG Welders to join our client's skilled manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a reputable company that values quality craftsmanship, innovation, and employee development.
As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for welding mild steel components to precise specifications as part of the manufacture of high-quality agricultural equipment. You will work in a supportive team environment with opportunities for training and career progression.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform MIG/MAG welding on various metal fabrication projects to high standards
* Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
* Conduct quality checks to ensure all work meets required specifications
* Maintain welding equipment and work areas in good condition
* Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment
* Work collaboratively as part of a team to meet production targets
* Identify and report any defects, issues, or safety concerns promptly
Essential Requirements
Experience & Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a MIG/MAG Welder in a manufacturing or engineering environment
* Strong MIG welding skills with demonstrated ability to produce high-quality welds
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Personal Attributes:
* Strong attention to detail with commitment to quality workmanship
* Reliable, punctual, and good time management
* Safety-conscious approach to all tasks
* Good teamwork and communication skills
* Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Pride in producing quality work
Desirable Skills
* Welding qualifications or certifications
* Experience in agricultural or steel fabrication industries
* Knowledge of ISO quality standards (not essential)
