At The Clancy's Group, we are looking for a hands-on, energetic Bar Manager to lead our front-of-house operations in a high-volume, fast-paced pub environment. You'll be responsible for running smooth day-to-day bar service, managing a team of bartenders and floor staff, keeping the atmosphere lively and customer-focused, and ensuring the pub stays profitable and compliant. This is a full-time position and you will be reporting to the General Manager.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee all aspects of the bar during busy shifts, ensuring fast, friendly, and efficient service.
* Lead by example on the floor—jumping behind the bar when needed, helping resolve customer issues, and maintaining high service standards.
* Ensure the bar is well-stocked, clean, and organized before, during, and after service.
* Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and health & safety compliance at all times.
* Recruit, train, and supervise bar and floor staff.
* Organize weekly rosters, ensuring appropriate cover for peak times.
* Motivate the team, handle disputes professionally, and maintain a positive working environment.
* Manage stock levels, place orders, and conduct regular inventory checks.
* Minimize wastage through effective controls and staff training.
* Create a welcoming, lively pub atmosphere that encourages repeat business.
* Handle customer complaints swiftly and professionally.
* Support and manage live events, match days, and pub promotions to drive footfall.
* Ensure adherence to licensing laws and responsible alcohol service.
What We're Looking For:
* A minimum of 5 years previous experience as a Bar Manager in a busy pub or similar venue.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
* Strong working knowledge of beers, wines, spirits.
* Confident in handling cash, rosters, stock control.
* Positive, can-do attitude with a passion for great customer service and team development.
Work Schedule:
* Must be available evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
* Flexibility required.

Pay: €40,000.00-€50,000.00 per year
